AstraZeneca is a member of the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA), which has implemented the EFPIA Transparency Code (“Code”). The Code introduces binding industry obligations aimed at increasing public trust. Under the Code, EFPIA member companies are obliged to make public details of payments made to healthcare professionals. AstraZeneca will publish the following information about you, on an annual basis: name, professional address and monetary and non-monetary benefits received by you (amount and reason), for example, contribution to educational events, travel expenses, fees for services and consultancy. To the extent funding is given for research, this information shall be published in aggregated form without disclosing your identity. This information will be published on an AstraZeneca website and shall be public for at least four years from publication. You can withdraw agreement at any time to this processing and AstraZeneca will use reasonable efforts to remove published information relating to you, provided this does not entail disproportionate technical effort. This does not affect any processing of personal data that AstraZeneca is required to undertake to comply with law in any jurisdiction.
AstraZeneca complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which is a Regulation by which the European Commission strengthens and unifies data protection for individuals within the European Union (EU). Consent should be explicitly and freely given unless it's required by law to be reported; otherwise, transfers of value will be reported in an aggregate form.
HCP REGISTRATION REMINDER:
If your marketing company has approval to sponsor or contract HCPs to attend this congress, please ensure that they are registered as part of your marketing company group. This will ensure that we have full visibility of all HCPs in attendance. The costs for these HCPs (for disclosure/transparency) will be captured through the global AstraZeneca’s Global transparency process; therefore, you do not need to duplicate this cost capture process locally.
